JA New Brunswick Business Hall of Fame - Year Twelve
The 2016 Junior Achievement New Brunswick Business Hall of Fame will mark the 20th Anniversary of this prestigious induction ceremony. As part of the 20th Anniversary Celebrations, we’re taking a look back at the previous 19 events that brought us to year 20! This week we’re venturing back to 2008 to celebrate the 12th Junior Achievement New Brunswick Business Hall of Fame!
In 2008, the New Brunswick Business Hall of Fame returned to Fredericton for the 12th Annual event and to celebrate the induction of 3 deserving New Brunswick business giants. The three deserving Laureates represented businesses like Dooly’s and Moosehead Breweries Limited.
CLASS OF 2008
Bernard Cyr has built many businesses from the ground up, including the Dooly’s Group, with locations across the country. He also serves as a director for a variety of companies and chairs the development committee for his alma mater, Université de Moncton.
Derek Oland has strengthened family-oriented Moosehead Breweries Limited into a highly regarded international company with a sales organization that is second to none. He has also raised the profile of New Brunswick entrepreneurs, serving as chair of the Wallace McCain Institute for Business Leadership.
Hon. Jim Ross has developed a portfolio of businesses and invested in heritage property restoration and redevelopment. He is also the founder of Partners for Youth, a non-profit organization that supports youth at risk through adventure-based therapeutic activities. He has also served a member of the Senate of Canada.
