JA New Brunswick Business Hall of Fame - Year Five!
The 2016 Junior Achievement New Brunswick Business Hall of Fame will mark the 20th Anniversary of the induction ceremony. As part of the 20th Anniversary Celebrations, we’re taking a look back at the previous 19 events that brought us to year 20! This week we’re heading back to 2001 to celebrate the 5th Anniversary of the New Brunswick Business Hall of Fame!
In 2001, the New Brunswick Business Hall of Fame went back to the Saint John region and celebrated the induction of 3 deserving New Brunswick business greats. The three deserving Laureates represented businesses like NBTel (now Bell Aliant), Royal Bank and T.S. Simms & Company. We even have a former Chairman of JA Canada!
CLASS OF 2001
Kenneth V. Cox joined NBTel in 1942, eventually retiring in 1987, and as Chairman of Bruncor in 1990. His leadership established the company as one of the most innovative telecommunications companies in the world. Mr. Cox has served as Chairman of the New Brunswick Research and Productivity Council, the Conference Board of Canada and the Atlantic Canada Council.

After serving overseas during World War II, Mr. Frazee returned to the bank in 1948, achieving the position of CEO in 1980 and retiring as Director in 1992. Mr. Frazee committed many hours to a variety of community efforts and served as Chairman of Junior Achievement of Canada.

He was a pioneer of business reforms across Canada, extolling the virtues of Free Trade and campaigning for the Maritime Freight Rates Act.
